WedWork is a labor of love and was founded in 2023 by two wedding planners, Bridget from Bridget Mary Weddings and Becky from Simplicitee.

The duo met when Bridget hired Becky as her own wedding coordinator in 2020. At the time, they had both recently launched their wedding businesses and quickly developed a friendship. They spent many coffee dates and happy hours together chatting about the wedding industry and learning from one another. As much as they loved their camaraderie, they realized they needed to expand their community and network with other wedding industry professionals.

Over the course of 2023, they held small group gatherings at coffee shops with one vendor per category to have further discussions about the wedding industry and the tools to be successful. These small group gatherings proved to be beneficial and they decided to take it one step further and provide wedding industry professionals with a full-day workshop that encourages community and education so business leaders can enhance their careers.

WedWork launched in 2024 and focuses on small group breakouts in a larger format. At these events, professionals will get the opportunity to connect with vendors within their same role and a mix of vendors that they would work with on a typical wedding day.
